There are various parts to this series: This article introduces consumer "observation" technology as it applies to barns and horses. Hardwired and wireless barncam setups are described. Scrap 2 will cover putting your barncam on the Web (allowing you, and others, to CRT your horse from anywhere!). Essentially 3 will cover trailercams.
Demand you ever wished you could keep an eye on your horse via the Internet? Me too. It's not well-grounded practical for foaling -- horses can get themselves in anguish, getting caught, or cast, colicking, choking, all of those nightmare scenarios that on a short fuse our minds when we're the first to proffer the barn in the morning. As a boarder, I can't genuinely install a webcam without getting buy-in and using the quirk owner's Internet resources. Tender-hearted of a tough sell, don't you think? But rely on springs eternal, so I did some digging. This will be a multipart series. Partially 1 covers basic barncam technology...
