Why gamers hate on the Wii
During my expected internet click through for the latest and greatest knowledge on gaming, I ran across the latest NPD numbers… GTAIV this, PS3 that, yadda, yadda, yadda. Then, I noticed the top ten Wii games sold closing month. As I perused the list, one big sore thumb stuck out at me: Increase Blox in only 9th place? Settle accounts worse than that, were the games that sold more units than Bang Blox, a game that I put one's trust in is one of the best, if not THE best reason to own a Wii.
Checkout the top ten and more ridiculousness, after the avoid.
Ok, lets start off with the Wii top ten for April:
1. Mario Kart
2. Wii Fit
3. Wii Disparage w/ Remote
4. Super Smash Bros. Fight
5. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Boulder
6. We Ski
7. Game Party
8. Super Mario Galaxy
9. Explode Blox
10. Carnival Games
Most would say that the roll above appears to be a pretty proper list, right? I mean, Wonderful Mario Galaxy, WiiFit, SSBB and Mario Kart are all for the most part know to be better than norm games. Here’s the problem: they’re all before party titles. They’re all made by Nintendo. Third soir games are getting killed on the stage.
The NPD numbers for Boom Blox signify that for April, Wii owners bought exclusively 60,000 copies of the game. For a set with an estimated install vile of about 10 million users in the U.S., that’s an associate rate of .06. (Gamedaily). That’s a mean amount for a great family spirited that should appeal to everybody. This gamble should be a million seller, but it won’t get there, assuring an beforehand demise for a game that should partake of been a great franchise for EA and all but assured Wii gamers that resourceful minds like Steven Spielberg would perpetuate to make games for the platform.
