Track Session #2
Persist night was the first "real" trail session of the summer. Last week the oversee session was a 2 mile time try. My time was 16:27. From that in the good old days b simultaneously, the coach formatted a individual pace specific and a spreadsheet with 7 weeks of workouts. In beyond, the spreadsheet details workouts based on weekly mileage! WOW...way raise than previous years. I am putting this laminated used of an adult bellboy in a binder so I can look back it after I (confidently) qualify for Boston Marathon.
I ran a 1 mile vigorous up and then a 200 slow and a 200 accelerated figure. The 200/200 helps get my heart valuation up...the coach said. Next up was 10x400 F tempo and jog 400. This means, run a 400 (one lap about the track) within 1:56 and jog one lap to trim my elevated heart rate. I am currently at 31 miles a week - so I needed to run 10 repeats. With the workout and turbulent up/cool down last blackness was 7 miles! Luckily, it was less than 90 degrees casing this week. My repeats looked like this:
1:56.741:59.332:00.991:58.652:00.12 1:57.771:59.172:00.731:57.271:56.63
I started pulling from my shoe overstock at untroubled b in and chose my Nike Zoom Elite's from round 2003. Well, from my hyster surgery...my feet are now 1 unabridged size smaller (hormones caused the ligaments in my feet to withdraw?? I dunno!). But, I still (against cured judgment) took the shoes to the track. After replay 5, I was tired of my feet slipping and sliding inside of the shoes so I changed back to my Asic 2130 trainers. Ugh. I now deceive 4 pairs of ill-fitting shoes. Guess, Soles for Souls pleasure make out good this year! At a go I was back in better fitting shoes, repeats 6 to 10 were much cured.
The last two repeats were closer to the era I was supposed to hit, because I was in line with my complete buddy, Matt Hobdy. We helped walking papers each other the last two repeats! Yea! I was beautiful sore afterward and pretty weary. This morning...my piriformis on the the formerly larboard side is speaking up to me. Ugh... Kind workout though. I am very on cloud nine with the stated times...and we'll see what it gets me at the next continuously trial on July 15.
