Sri Lankan athletic coach in Australia

Anula Costa
Various years ago Anula Costa was a household rank in athletics as she was the record holder for extended jump. Now residing in Australia she came down to Sri Lanka on a concise holiday, and LW had the privilege of meeting up with her, as she shared her endure in training differently able persons in Australia. One such exemplar is Kelly, a differently able mademoiselle she trained for running events for the Paralympics.
Although Anula’s been in Australia for multitudinous years now, she has been in regular connection with K.L.F. Wijedasa her coach. This correspondence gave beginning to the idea of conducting a workshop for the differently skilled in Sri Lanka who were interested in sports. Coach Wijedasa volunteered to net arrangements for the workshop by liaising with the Sri Lanka Army and Rehab Lanka – an classifying that employs differently capable people.
Anula’s intention was to arouse and encourage people who felt as but their whole world had total crumbling down. On attending the workshop we observed the pin stop silence with which all the participants were listening to her. After the workshop, we were skilled to talk to Anula and her coach Mr. Wijedasa. Quiet respecting her coach, Anula wanted us to start the parley with him.

About Anula’s Coach-K.L.F.Wijedasa
Coach K.L.F. Wijedasa, has been a institutor member of the Ceylon Track and Competitors Club (CTFC) and also the Coordinator for leading IAAF Coaching Programme. He coached both Kingly College and Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya in the 1970’s. Vijitha Wijesekera, Kosala Sahabandu, K.G. Badra, Sunil Gunewardena, Melani Milky, Thiruni Premeratne and Anula Costa are a few of the nationalist record holders Wijedasa has trained to the years.
